Matamata Panelworks is looking for a highly experienced Restoration Painter to join our team. This role is focused primarily on high-end vehicle restorations, with some involvement in other paint work across our workshop when required. We are seeking a skilled professional who takes pride in their craft and consistently delivers exceptional results.
About the Role
- High-end restoration paint work (primary focus)
- Occasional involvement in other paint work across the workshop
- Working on quality builds where finish and attention to detail matter
- Full-time, permanent position
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm, with flexibility when required.
What We’re Looking For This role suits a painter who takes pride in their work, values quality over speed, and is committed to producing high-end restoration finishes to a consistently high standard. This is not a junior role. You must be currently operating at a senior level with proven, real-world experience in restoration and high-end paint work.
Essential Skills, Requirements & Experience
- Must be in New Zealand already and able to work
- Proven experience in restoration and high-end paint finishes
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team
- Experience across a range of paint systems and finishes
- Willingness to assist with other paint work when required
